Deform has developed Firewall for Volkswagen T6

Volkswagen T6 is an internationally popular reinforced cash-in-transit vehicle.  This new model is a replacement for the previous model (VW T5) that was discontinued in fall 2015. Deform together with SIFA, developed a 3D-formed firewall for the VW T6 from 3mm Armox 500. The product satisfies protection class B3/B4.

The shape of the firewall was complex, and the plate was thin, therefore Deform chose to make the firewall in two parts.

In Germany alone there are about 2500 cash-in-transit vehicles operating for banks and large companies. A number of our customers have already installed and tested our 3D formed firewalls and several of them have shown a great interest in the product. Using our 3D formed plates instead of the conventionally welded firewalls, our customers can save cost and decrease lead time considerably.
