Deform is an important partner for Outokumpu

Outokumpu is the market leader in stainless steel quarto plate. Their plant in our city, Degerfors, is Outokumpu’s biggest production unit for stainless steel quarto plate. Awarded with a gigantic order from China, Outokumpu is supplying prefabricated parts in duplex 2205^® as ready-to-assemble kits for 10 chemical tankers. 

Prefabrication includes edge preparation, welding, and bending of plates. As an important element in Outokumpu’s supply chain for chemical tankers, Deform is responsible for a part of edge preparation, all welding works (SAW), control, documentation, and advanced logistic planning for the order. More than 6000 plates are prefabricating in our well-customized production line.

Deform is located next door to Outokumpu, and sees huge collaboration opportunities with such a strategic business partner. As a custom manufacturer with expertise in advance forming and value-added solution providing, we believe that Outokumpu’s focus on value-added product selling is opening new collaboration channels between both companies.
