Deform:Method™ was applied to right-hand-drive Toyota LC200 for the first time

Deform’s single piece firewall now improves the security of passengers aboard right-hand-drive Toyota LC200 too.

Our competitively-priced, single piece firewalls will enable armored vehicle’s manufacturers to increase the protection of their vehicles, at the same time they lessen the vehicle’s weight and decrease their lead time.

About 35% of the world’s population resides in 74 countries with left-hand traffic, where drivers mostly use right-hand-drive vehicles. Therefore manufacturing firewalls for vehicles in such countries has always been an important objective for us.

This milestone was recently achieved through a close collaboration to our valuable customer WBA in Hechingen, Germany. Mr. Uwe Heusel, CEO at WBA, who had previously purchased our single piece left-hand-drive firewalls for Toyota LC200, has now enabled his company to offer same protection-solution to all of its customers regardless which side on roads they drive.

After making the required press tool for the right-hand-drive firewall, Deform supplied an aluminum firewall in order to verify product’s dimensions as well as the location of holes. 

Finally firewalls in Armox 600T, Thk.=10 mm were supplied and satisfactorily assembled by WBA. Shortly after our first delivery, Mr. Jonas Genander visited the customer’s workshop to make sure if any adjustments in hole cutting files would be needed.
