Deform supplied a spherical bottom for a melting furnace to Vatvedt

Deform delivered a Ø11,4 m spherical bottom plate for a submerged arc furnace to Vatvedt in Norway. As an experienced solution provider for the Ferro Alloy industry, Vatvedt Group is a world leading producer of equipment for submerged arc furnaces.

We fabricated the bottom plate in petals, and performed a trail assembling in our workshop. Trail assembling and match marking of segmental products is a part of our routine. By trail assembling of segmental products we ensure that each and every product has fulfilled the dimensional quality requirements before it leaves our premise. Our straight-forward match-marking method on the other hand, enables our customers to experience the same perfect assembling result as we originally achieved in our workshop. All they need to do is to easily follow the match markings on segments.
